Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing from or using www.serdyn.co.za. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. About Us
Serdyn Farming (Pty) Ltd operates Weltevrede Farm, off Station Road, Riebeek Wes, Western Cape. We sell wine, gin, honey, flour, and other farm produce online and directly from the farm.
2. Age Restriction — Alcohol
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase any alcoholic products (wine or gin) from this website. By proceeding with a purchase of alcohol, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are not purchasing alcohol on behalf of a person under 18
- You understand that the sale of alcohol to persons under 18 is prohibited under South African law
We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order where we have reasonable grounds to believe this condition has not been met.
3. Ordering
When you place an order on our website:
- You are making an offer to purchase the selected products at the listed price
- We will confirm receipt of your order by email
- Your order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and we have sent you an order confirmation
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example if a product is out of stock or if we suspect fraudulent activity
4. Pricing
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the time you complete your purchase. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown separately at checkout.
5. Payment
Payments are processed securely through a third-party payment provider (e.g. PayFast or similar). We do not store your card details. By submitting payment, you authorise the transaction. All transactions are subject to the terms of the relevant payment provider.
6. Delivery
We deliver to addresses within South Africa. Delivery times and costs will be shown at checkout. Please note:
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier delays or circumstances beyond our control
- We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer
- Someone of 18 years or older must be available to receive alcohol orders
- Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery

7. Returns and Refunds
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of receipt.
- Damaged or incorrect products: we will arrange a replacement or full refund at our cost
- Change of mind: we are unable to accept returns on perishable or consumable goods (wine, gin, honey, flour) once delivered, unless defective
- Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of approval, using the original payment method
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
8. Products
We take care to describe our products accurately. However:
- Vintage characteristics may vary slightly between batches
- Product images are for illustration purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product
- Stock availability is not guaranteed and products may be removed from sale at any time
9. Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
Your purchase is subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the CPA. You have the right to receive goods that are safe, of good quality, and as described. For any CPA-related concerns, contact us directly or the National Consumer Commission at www.thencc.gov.za.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including the Serdyn name, logo, product names (SRTN Aurea, BESLIS, Red King, Red Pioneer), images, and text, is the property of Serdyn Farming and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without our written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serdyn Farming will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our products, beyond the value of the order in question. We do not exclude liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Website Use
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website
- Use the website to transmit harmful or unlawful content
- Reproduce or copy content without permission
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
